George W meets Moses

George W. Bush was walking through an airport last week, when he saw an old man with white hair, a long white beard, wearing a long white robe and holding a staff. He walked up to the man, who was staring at the ceiling, and "Excuse me sir, aren't you Moses?"

The man stood perfectly still and continued to stare at the ceiling, saying nothing. Again, George W. asked, a little louder this time, "Excuse me sir, aren't you Moses?" Again, the old man stared at the ceiling motionless without saying a word. George W. tried a third time, louder yet. "Excuse me sir, aren't you Moses?" Again, no movement or words from the old man. He continued to stare at the ceiling.

One of George W's aides asked him if there was a problem, and George W. said, "Either this man is deaf or extremely rude. I have asked him three times if he was Moses, and he has not answered me yet." To which the man, still staring at the ceiling finally replied to the aide, "I can hear him and yes, I am Moses, but the last time I spoke to a bush, I spent 40 years wandering in the wilderness."

Let's ponder on this a while, shall we? (I'm such a cool, smart Ensign)

This is what I learned at Lenten Catholic mass this Sunday. Minus the hour of sleep of course.

Funny things today:
Muster
I found out the food thief at API Gym
My toes, nails and the wiggle action
Finding out how crazy this place has turned since I've been gone
Seeing Monts at swim

There's a Habitat for Humanity coming up in May. Anybody want to volunteer with me?

Migrated

Wow, I've been bad at this lenten thing since I've been moving. There is just too much for me to do and so far, the rules I haven't broken have been not buying clothes for myself and not drinking beer (since my return). I'm getting close to 7 hours again, but since my room is a complete mess with all my belongings disorganized all over the floor, the sleep isn't getting quite yet there. Slowly, but surely.

Gonna get back on that train... when my room is clean.

Oops...?!

There was no way I was going to survive the whole weekend in CC without touching a single beer. You can't do beer pong or flip cup with anything else (although I was serious when I suggested doing it with Hennessy, "A Very Special Cognac") so that went out for the weekend.

I didn't really get the sleep I wanted either.

So I can either drop those two off the list because they've been broken and just fall back on the other 3, or feel really bad but move on and just omit that weekend off from Lent.

I'm going to go with the latter... and with that, its time to pack for tomorrow's adventure. CC was a ripping good time. Good times, good times. Plus the beach ain't so bad when it's just across the street.

:)

Let's see how the first day went...

1. No alcohol today.
2. No spending.
3. Cleaned the kitchen and did laundry today.
4. Read and thought about the daily readings... the Lord does not boast. He is Almighty and he shares his life with us, he doesn't lord it over is.
5. 11:30 to 6:30. Exact.
6. I'm more accessible by cell now.

Turns out in a span of 2 hours, I gained a roommate because I lost a roommate but the one I gained I lost now to API but also lost and gained an apartment. Whew. Moving in with Erin! Plans have changed, we're adjusting... we'll be home sometime Lunedi.

27 February 2007

1. Dub'E poured me a big glass of red wine, and I couldn't even finish it. I was so tired today, for reasons beyond my knowledge.
2. Bought stuff from a bookstore... no clothes.
3. Cooked lumpia and brought it to the fellow shipmates.
4. Check.
5. 11:45ish to 7:00. Nice.

My sister texted me this morning to tell me she was in a car accident. She rides with a senior to school in the morning and they slipped on some ice just out of the neighborhood. The car fishtailed and rolled over into a ditch. They had to climb out one of the windows because the car landed sideways. I'm so glad that she's ok, but she's still shaken up. She actually still went back to school, her friend was shaken up a lot and went home. I'm not sure, but my sister might be scared to drive right now (she's still in the process of getting enough hours to get a license) but then again driving in ice/snow is not a very safe idea anyway.

The roomming situations back in Pensacola keep changing, but as long as I have a place to sleep, I'm just fine.

Lenten Resolutions

It's this time of year when you have to really sit down and think about how you've screwed up part of your New Year's Resolutions, and how you're going to make up for it. So I thought.

I had already decided a few days ago to give up beer because it adds absolutely nothing good to the body. I've been trying to work out twice a workday so the addition of beer wouldn't benefit me at all. I've read plenty to know that a glass of red wine is healthy for you. Another thing I realized I could do for lent was to go through old stuff and clean out the closet a bit. However, most of the stuff I don't need is sitting in my other closet at the big house. Instead of sending that stuff to Goodwill or the Salvation Army, we always send it to my relatives in Iriga.

So here it goes, the Lenten Goals. (And these are going to be kind of rough, so I will have to track my progress.)

1. No beer, only ONE glass of red wine per day.
2. No spending on clothes for myself.
3. Clean and organize (once I get back to the apartment).
4. Read the two Christian gospel magazines and its daily words of worship.
5. Attain at least 7 hours of sleep. (6 hours is usually when my internal clock likes to say "I'm done. Wake up, girl.") 8 is considered standard, but I'm going to take this slow.
6. iChat is being turned off in the meantime.

Hope I don't bore you all with this. Let's hope that I can pull all of this off.

While jogging...

Nice weather... what are the deer doing? Why are they running after me? ..Oh wait, they're running WITH me... okay...

That cat looks like Garfield... (There's a cat on the hill just staring out into space, almost like he's doing his early morning pondering)

I wonder about all the girls whom I thought were considered "hot" in middle school and made fun of everyone... they used to look good, now their Facebook photo albums add like 20 pounds onto their figure. Sure makes me a helluva lot happier.

How come Powerbars taste disgusting, but I keep eating them? I guess the chocolate kind is the ONLY good kind.

I hope I don't have to go to Corpus Christi this weekend.

Man! I can make fun of those fatties now! They made fun of us, now its revenge!
Wow. That thought was ridiculous. I smell cedar.

This family is too cool.

So... Erin took me on my first bike ride in Garden Ridge. We went at least 20 mph on the roads--cars, gravel, and all. It was rather adventurous, although now my legs and crotch area are taking a beating. My seat was a little low and I haven't quite gotten the muscle memory figured out yet with push and pull. But going through traffic is pretty cool... especially sporting Navy tri gear.

I'll make sure we take pictures next time we go. Which means I must go out and purchase a camera tomorrow.

Ash Wednesday: I don't know what I'm giving up, it should be either wine or chocolate... but it seems to be the only staple every evening here in the McCaw estates it would be way too difficult to get tangled up in that mess. What should I give up? In college it used to be AIM every year, so I would go through this IM withdrawal for 2 months, it would be miserable. I could do that... but how would I get in touch with people? Aha.

Call me.

**decided to give up beer.**

Half-baked

The past few days have been pretty chill, but busy. Visited Schreiner University up in Kerrville, Texas. It’s a liberal arts university that also carries med students, but apparently has a PAO department that does not fare well with informing their 6,000 students of a career fair. But the drive up there and back wasn’t bad. Senior Chief is a very interesting person to listen to.

Oh, I listen. I am discovering now that I may be even dumber now than I used to be, therefore I make a better listener. So if you like to talk, I will listen. Debate? Not much. I guess I just like to think about what you say. I will formulate my own opinion of things when I have quiet time with myself, not when they stay less-than-abstract.

Unless… the topics we discuss require any skill or intelligence, a.k.a. the goof topics. Anything to distinguish myself as a woman from a guy won’t cut it. I will be impressed if you can talk about politics, but bored. If you can give me your opinion on Filipino Veterans from WWII, then maybe I’ll consider talking. But once we’re on the subject of the many things we can do using waterballoons on a cold day… you’re my favorite.

Tomorrow is Friday. That is when I start swimming again. I'm also considering becoming Scuba certified. And later... we begin San Antonio nightlife, and hopefully I get to see some of my favorite boys. ::chees'n::

The Temporary Life

It's only been two days of TAD work and even though I'm actually working hours as opposed to the lazy life I could be having right about... now... I'm enjoying it. I checked into the Navy Recruiting District in San Antonio and working with the coolest Master Chief and Senior Chief in the existence of naval recruiting. Today, we headed over to the University of Texas Health Science Center and got to meet med students. Free lunch! Anyways, its great to finally be involved in something bigger than yourself, coming home after putting some good work hours in at Fort Sam Houston, then going home to only find you have about 5 hours left to yourself before you ought to be heading to bed. So then, there's so much to do around here, it's only a matter of figuring out what it is you want to do.

Staying at Erin's and being a part of the family temporarily has been a good thing so far. She hasn't had a girl roommate in a while and its good to have a roommate for myself who I can actually do things with again. (Sorry, Laura. You're busy with... other things.)

I'm really glad I got to visit the boys down in Corpus Christi for the weekend. It felt like a big reunion in small doses, the P-cola bunch all trying to go out and have a good time. If it wasn't for the Nation, I woudn't have been able to go to my first "strip club" Club Cheetah (the club amnesia)... thinking about working there one night... :) Excited for them to come up here. Good times, good times.

Well, I've got to attend one of those job/career fairs 2 hours up from here, so I've got to get to bed. I think this is teaching me so much more than napping as a stash is... sue me, I prefer to be a workaholic. It's the only way I can not become fat.

jezzebel

I can't believe I had to scrape ice off my windshield this morning.

Then after work, it felt like the mid-60's out... I could have gone to the beach.

Enlisted people in the gym are like little kids. It's fun to watch.

Self-affliction

With all this time on my hands.. I could be reading. But... instead when everyone's busy doing their own thing, I have been in the mood to do the types of things to hurt myself.

For instance, the tattoo shown above. Got it done on my wrist, but its cool yeah? vm - yall should know what it stands for.

Next, I've been doing 10 minutes punching on the speedbag everytime I work out at the gym. Now, I could never get the speed bag down, but now I've found the rhythm and I know how to work it now with the back of my fist and the front jabs. I've got no wraps yet, and don't plan on getting one soon, but its tearing up my knuckles and making them red... its kinda cool to punch the living shit out of the thing. Kind of an aggressive energy that doesn't hurt anyone.

Going to work on getting another piercing done today... I bet you all are wondering where it's going to be huh? Got the earlobes, the navel... can you think of any other places?

Folks, this is what waiting around will make you do. It will cause you to do stupid things. Learn from this. Hopefully this phase will pass and I won't start skydiving anytime soon. Oh wait, aren't I in the aviation field? I'm going to be in big planes, high in the sky..... and there's plenty of ORM to calculate for that.

pitter.ponder.splish.splash.

This is what America is....
Why isn't this all over the news? If he had done something wrong, it surely would be!

Got this from Lauren. It really is such a nice picture.

On another note...

do you have any idea how hard it is to drink light beer when you know that's all you are allowed to consume, if any at all...?
do you have any idea how hard it is to not eat rice everyday?
do you have any idea how hard it is to keep yourself occupied when you know you don't actually start the training you came down to do... until 11 months after you graduate?
do you have any idea how hard it is to want to continue songwriting, but have absolutely not enough inspiration (see previous statement)?

i've been asking myself these questions a lot lately.

Cherry pop

The trio today hosted an exclusive party... for the women today. It was a sa-weet NO BOYS ALLOWED type of party. A Passion Party.

If you don't know what that is, let me just tell you there were a lot of toys in my apartment tonight, lots of girls, lots of giggles... lots of shocked faces, wandering eyes, and risque thoughts throughout the night. It was my first real gathering with more than 2 girls talking about the same undisclosing thing... did the same thing with about 8 guys sometime in October, I remember. We all had an "exchange of ideas" between the two females (Erin and I) and the guys. That was the talk right before we went to Captain Fun's downtown and I displayed my massive strength by performing acrobatics on dancer poles. (By the way, it is never surprising to me now how many males exist everywhere I live.. first the Corps of Cadets, then NAS Pensacola. Complete sausagefest, which makes it completely "ok" for us to risk losing our femininity, right? Sometimes I feel like I need to join a cheerleading team to be able to hang out with girly girls and stop acting like a guy... but enough of that rant. We military women do that one a lot anyways.) But I digress. For you girls who want discounts, host your own party. I'll hook you up with contacts, and you can get started. Then you all can talk amongst yourselves about what products work and don't work, and what you recommend for that annoying chick who keeps complaining she's not getting any.

Ok are you ready?

I don't complain enough out loud, so I thought I'd rant about one thing today and keep the rest to myself. Maybe write a nasty song about them. Or draw an angry sketch.

So I guess it ties with the art of existing in an odd girl-to-guy ratio... but living like that for a while makes you "one of the guys". You can talk with guys about unladylike things, hang out with them... all because it's normal now. By this point in your life you think that nothing a guy could do or say could make you feel uncomfortable, or it would be really hard to be offended by something a guy would say about the female sex or sex in general.

I am exactly that. Or well, I thought I was until a couple of dudes actually started talking about me... TO me. Now I guess it's different to engage in the conversation when you're not talking about other girls and boys, but when the boys are trying to put you on the spot and make you feel uncomfortable. I'm typically not a confrontational person, but when they start telling me, that in the metaphorical sense, I was the "trophy" in an Asian bowl months earlier. This reminded me of several movies I've seen before, with the girl as the prize of the bet like in She's All That with Rachael Lee Cook... I mean, you'd feel bad for her, but doesn't really make you feel something until it actually happens to you. Never have I ever thought I was the object of victory in some competition. When I heard this, I kept my cool--I didn't go drama queen on them, but I did feel like I sank to a level of objectification. And I'm sure you know this leads back to insecurity, self-esteem issues, and other things I can write about at this time (but choose not to).

Yeah... so, that's what got on my nerves this week. Trivial? Could be to you. But the little things can bug me and not surface until there's a pillow in my hand. Little things like... nail clippings and dust bunnies.

The Trophy Wife. Absolutely opposed to it.

I Have Nothing?

Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" from the Bodyguard movie is on the radio...

It's the first pop song I remember ever "working" on,
now its easy to play.... but think about it.
It was so early 90's... now i'm 22.

I lost my camera. I hope I can relocate the damn thing from last night's shenanigans... But I have a picture of how I threw it down last night. It was a bit slow, wish I had more of my closer friends out there, but its the time of year when they're all busy with their own lives, and when I'm not busy, just being a blob and taking up space, and occasionally singing and dancing and eating lots and lots of sushi.

cakewinedopeshow.

Who's idea was it to start with the crappy weather? I want to stop with the layers... and doing so much laundry.

And who said it was ok to rant 24/7? I didn't give it a go... apparently my ears have grown accustomed to hearing things repeated thrice or more.

Oh, and I'm throwing that Yoga X DVD out the window. Out with Yoga crap and in with more cardio. I'm super excited I'm taking a break from this high school playground and getting a job at another one. :)

Ahh! Rosie's!

Words of advice: Be careful what you do in public, even if it is on a crowded dance floor and you think no one is watching.
Or videotaping.

I saw a commercial on TV for Seville Quarter... dancing...

more dancing...
more dancing... hey don't I know that guy?

and I thought of those couple of times on the dance floor... yeah, bad idea.

Good? No. Not.

Fresh Azimiz

Darnit.

I fell for it again. (...I bought another fitness program, and I haven't finished the first one... sigh)

So everybody's got insecurities. Some people have the strong will to overcome their own; their fears, their hangups, or whatever past experiences have molded them into the person they are now. Some people can act with confidence on the outside and hide their insecurities within, others let the vulnerabilities sit on the surface. Not too obvious, but visible enough to want to take on and alter for gratification.

In search of my own gratification, I have already managed to take chances (or risks, whichever sounds more adventurous) which please or disappoint my own levels of esteem. Learning that it is easy to defeat myself, I'm really amazed at how I can get myself this way. I'm going to go on a vacation and put "me" to the test. Is it really quite possible to not just act strong, but be strong? For my well-being... because one can never guarantee a trusting companion, a lifelong protector, or someone to grow old with.

I know that must have been a little hard to swallow... I'm working on it. I wonder if anyone ever reads this thing anyway?

P.S. Impulse shopping (a.k.a. retail therapy) feels a hundred times better if the gifts aren't for you ;)

How do you deal with your insecurities?

Hide and Seek

That's the title of the song that's been locked on my iTunes playlist, repeating and repeating itself. Imogen Heap sings it. She also sang a song called Let Go which played during the credits of the Garden State movie. The lady is a genius.

I guess I've been hiding out this week. Since I started the P90X workout, I have felt a little more clingy to my bedroom for rest. 6 out of 7 days I am doing workouts, and I have committed my diet to change for the next 90 days. If you know me, oh... you know that I will eat anything and everything i want. I used to think I had a pretty decent metabolism... I think all the Capri Sun sugars are catching up with me, so I've got to work a little harder now to get it back.

The eating (or rather NOT eating) part is the most difficult part for me, I think. This is the part of the program where I am getting used to the food choices and "detoxifying" my body. I'm eating 5 servings of protein, 2 servings of dairy, 2 servings of veggies, 1 fruit, 1 carb, 1 snack, and 1 fat. Servings are quite small, and it takes patience to plan the meals for the day. Not going to help if I eat meals like the ice cream sundae burger last night and drink god awful amounts of alcohol. Even if they are considered "cheat days". (Yeah, the fries are even drizzled in chocolate.)

Going home for the holiday break didn't help at all. I got sick for a week during Christmas, and blam! I'm always making brownies, always eating the desserts all the aunties left in the house from the party. When Dad said, "Come home, we'll fatten you up," he wasn't kidding. In fact, I fattened up all by myself. :)

I've always thought my body looked like a chunky stick. Like the figure of a crunch bar. No curves. But hopefully this program will work. With a waist that is 30.5 in and hips measuring 36 in... I wonder if I'm measuring the right spots of my body. My weight is a good solid weight that I'm happy about, it stays around a 125... I'm not obsessive about my weight, which is a good thing, but I could always improve.

Now I just need to find out what % body fat I have, I need to get a chinup bar and pushup handles to make my life complete. At least, for now. Oh, and I need to beat Guitar Hero on Expert level, of course.

"Wash my hands of the dirt of the past, embrace the light."

Embracing and letting go.

That is how I go through life. That is how the seasons change. That's how I am able to write these moments down. In 2006, there was still quite a bit of letting go and embracing to do, and still need to do, to be ready for when the 2007 slowly unravels itself upon us.

I went to church today, like any other Sunday, with my family. We have managed to attend this church for five years (and counting) and managed to escape parish registration. So we aren't really involved in any other way but mass attendance. today though, was an extra full day in the church and sitting in the pew ahead of me was a boy who looked vaguely familiar, but about two feet taller than last I saw him before. I asked my sister to make sure that this was the same choir boy who sang solo as a cantor. He had the most angelic voice and I really enjoyed having him sing. Away at college for 4 years, I only heard him during winter break and some summers. At this mass, another lady had taken over the job and really didn't give it much justice. When that lady sang, I witnessed in the boy's face the same expression (and I suppose feeling) I had when the fall semester at Virginia Tech started and I sat within the congregation for the first time, rather than up front at the piano. I was struggling to let go and embrace this new group of musicians--and realize that it's just the same when I walked into the dorms after the Corps New Cadet Parade. All my freshmen were cadre now and my juniors... well, they wore the gold VPI.

2006 marked an era that I will never forget. I took the most photos. I went through some new living accommodations and I finally experienced hardship in relationships. I think you will tend to fight for those when you think they are worth fighting for, right? But my problem was, and is, learning to realize when you have to throw in the towel. I learned a lot this year, from a lot of people, and in that I even learned about myself. But truth is, even though it didn't seem or feel like I had a mask on--and I claimed I didn't--I, in fact, did. It was only when I took off that mask I did the soul-searching business. This year, i've got to change that. With a new change of scenery, and new friends, I've got that window of opportunity.

My family is still changing. It's growing and I don't think can keep track of all my new cousins in the Philippines. I'm glad that now I've got a couple who have finally got the approved "OK" to transfer to California. A couple of days ago I read the preteens' myspaces and it seemed that they embraced the American culture a little too quickly. Just from these personal webpages, I now have the impression that they were spoiled way too soon. I understand that this is the way of life they have wanted for so long, and the way their parents wanted it. All they could do before was dream it and see it on television. They yearned and they got it. But they still left behind the relatives they played with and saw everyday. 12 years younger. Now one group of kids is halfway across the world, buying new Nikes and sporting new iPod skins while the other group is still playing ball in the streets and watching games on TV rather than actually playing them on their own console. All I wish is that they don't forget where they come from and who still needs them. Iriga City was hit with a serious typhoon which swept the ash remains from the nearby volcano down through the cities and towns in the surrounding area. We heard of one town being completely destroyed. A Herculaneum and Pompeii story if you ask me--but the area is so poor, it wasn't as big in the news. I'm glad my parents still remember. They did a medical mission this summer that's been planned for years, and we contribute hundreds of bags of rice to the typhoon victims.

For me, the year 2007 means a big change. It's a change in dependency, and a time of personal exploration. Hoping to wake up each day ready to live it with a purpose--as A pool would have it so difficult to do. But I'm going to give it a try.

Year in Review

Just so you all know, I'm basing this blog off of a list of questions I found on facebook called "Year in Review".

Well... to start off, I'm glad to say that I am always making new friends, always adding more to the buddy list. I absolutely hate having enemies, but sometimes I do what I feel is right and I can't help other people harboring feelings of hatred for something I didn't intend to personally hurt them. (This is important to remember because this particularly happened this year and I sort of played "tool".)

Hobbies... I still play tennis when I can, I stopped knitting after the winter rush in Blacksburg (when I absolutely needed scarves), but I remember early in the year I got into weightlifting and cardioboxing which was fun. Its too bad I started to lift the last semester of my senior year, but its better late than never, right? I'm looking pretty good compared to the piece I was as a freshman. I now swim a lot, working at the pool. Also, in my spare time, I'm recording cover songs, and I'm trying to do projects, particularly collages.

Did I get older? Well, I did turn 21... finally. Hello alcohol, goodbye money. But I do have to say one thing... I've developed this habit of running or working out the morning after big drinking nights. Interesting how I run a lot more than I ever did in college. Sometimes realization for the better comes a little delayed.

Parties never stop, so no change there--its just the type of parties now being in Pensacola with people who graduated college at the same time. Just more of the theme kind. And more wine too. Yes, more wine.

Big year in '06, right? I mean, I graduated from the Corps of Cadets, I received a bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech, and got my gold bars and commission into the United States Navy. I finally moved away from the dorms, then out of the state into brand new territory. Yeah, that was pretty exciting. I'm now making a decent income and paying for everything myself. That part's not exciting.

I went to one wedding and one funeral this year. Angelica got married to a really great guy... My 'uncle' Steve. Good choice! The funeral I went to was for someone I didn't know, a veteran, Sean Reed and I during the summer went and folded the flag draped on the coffin. Our service for the fallen.

No physical fights, but a couple verbal fights... before a breakup. Um... what else? I visited a few sporting events this year: Legg Mason Tennis Classic in D.C., Pensacola Ice Pilots hockey games, and lots of football games on television. I haven't gotten into another accident since last year's mess, but I did get a speeding ticket the day I checked out of VT, with my parents tailing me too! Ridiculous old deaf guy didn't even want to hear my excuses. Grrr... Came down to Pensacola with only what could fit into my car. Made some "big" purchases when I arrived... my MacBook, my apartment, my bed, and my digital piano. I've also learned how to cook! It tastes good too. I'm not all that bad, really.

I have realized my body can only take 6 hours of continuous sleep unless accompanied by drugs or alcohol... I got a navel piercing on a whim with someone who later became someone who hated me (as previously stated) because of something I had to do. No tats this year. Pooh.

Here's the part where I throw the questions in here rather than put them in paragraph form, for times sake:

In 2006, how many....
different places did you work? 2. The ROTC unit... and my current stash job
times did you go out drinking? Uh, a lot?!
times did you smoke marijuana? Zilch
drugs did you take? drugs like aspirin? I don't count
times did you have health problems? I'm sick right now with some sore throat thing
times did you go to the movies? A lot since I graduated
concerts did you attend? I don't remember
people did you make out with? 3.. ooh, curious aren't you
people did you have sex with? No comment
people tried to have sex with you? I'll just say everybody, haha
times did you get your ass kicked? I don't roll like that
crushes did you have? more than three I suppose
times did you attend church? every Sunday that was available
"rough nights" did you have? My fair share

In 2006, what was?
your favorite day of the year? Graduation/commissioning
your favorite band? I assume "band" means more than one person: I guess Black Eyed Peas did it for me this year
your least favorite day of the year? I don't get into fights at all. But wait, that one day when I did, it SUCKED.
your favorite movie? the Prestige
your favorite song of the year? Buttons
the most expensive thing you stole? man I really wish I remembered this one
the biggest event you attended? Legg Mason. My lil sis and I did the whole weekend thing... a LOT of matches for one person
something that didn't change at all this year? My complete and utter dorkiness for "dorky" asian games
your favorite holiday? Birthdays... free drinks!

Misc. questions about 2006 A.D.
were you in a hospital this year? Visiting people who got wrecked.. but me, no
were you in an ambulance this year? No
did you make any big confessions in 06? Not too big, but big enough I suppose
did you make friends with anyone of the opposite sex that you love but only as a friend? How about all the time
embarrassed about anything you did this year? I went up stripper poles in a dance club... I was drunk but I acted like I owned them things
what's the best thing to happen to you this year? Graduation/commission
did you meet anyone that you could see yourself marrying ? I thought no at first, then I thought yes definitely, then I thought no again.
did anyone you have no feelings for confess to having feelings for you? Yes
did you vote this year? sadly no, I changed residency during elections
did you bring sexy back this year? Hell yeah
was 2006 a great year, an average year or a bad year? It was a great year
what goals did you set for 2007? Work on my social skills. Haha. No, I'm learning more languages and reading lots more because I feel dumber after graduation. =)

I hadn't been dumped this year (thank god) but I did a) fell apart with someone, b) had a guilty pleasure type of fling thing, and c) broke up with a guy because I was still hung up.

As far as falling in love goes for this year... I fell, but I'm afraid the guy I fell for didn't come to pick me up. I'm glad tbs decided to show My Boys this year, a show which conveys the main character as someone whose life mimics mine and other women I know in this male-dominated business.

I think that's enough for you all, eh? Happy holidays and toodles.
